Facilities Update

Facilities Update and Letter from Our President Dianne Cross

(excerpts from July/August 2022 Newsletter)

Dear Members,

Five years ago, prior to purchasing the building, we had a local contractor assess the condition of the roof.  The report indicated the roof would need replaced within the next 3-5 years.  Roof replacement has been a part of our renovation plans, and has very recently been escalated to priority #1.

An anonymous donor has come forward with a generous gift.  The donor will match donations, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000, for replacement of the roof.  If we exceed our goal, monies collected over the cost of the project will be added to our Capital Fund Drive Campaign.  Bids for the work will be accepted this fall, with intended completion date of Spring 2023.  All donations are welcome, either via check or via PayPal on our website at madisonohiohistoricalsociety.org/donations/

Sincerely,
Dianne Cross
